As first time home builders twenty three years ago, Andy and I feel fortunate that Jim Mumper and his office staff and crew walked us through the process. We could not have been happier with our first custom home. Over the years, Jim and his employees have continued to help us with additions of a wine room, outdoor fireplace and more recently an addition of a first floor master suite. In 2007, I have developed physical disabilities that required a home that meets all American Disabilities Act requirements for a wheelchair user. I met with Jim Mumper and his staff with my plans to build a new custom home that was completely wheelchair accessible. This was not a simple task, due to the requirements of the ADA and also approval of the Veterans Affairs requirements and final inspection. Jim and his staff developed a home designed that met all my needs and also all ADA requirements including passing a VA final inspection after the home was built. Mumper Construction did an excellent job! People who have been to my home don’t even realize that my custom home is much different than other custom homes due to Mumper’s designed. The home was started on time and finished on time. Jim and his staff were always available to discuss all or any of my concerns and perform any adjustments or changes that were needed in the building process. I love my custom home and am very grateful that I had J.W. Mumper Construction to build my dream home. I would recommend Jim and his staff to anyone. I still use them for any improvements and just last Summer, Mumper Construction performed repair work to my garage due to fire damage from a vehicle fire. My garage now looks new again!

Once selected, through Jim’s leading, we only had two meetings, beautifully built home on budget, time, and ZERO ISSUES! Our residential construction project was complicated and demanding, requiring considerable new construction be integrated with 55-year-old construction, which was extensively renovated. The new construction, renovation and, most impressively, the integration were of the highest quality with meticulous attention to detail. Our building experience with Jim Mumper was smooth and enjoyable. It was our first building adventure. Jim, his employees, and his subcontractors were professional and made our lives so easy. Needless to say, the quality of workmanship was stellar. Over the course of 14 years we never had a problem. Many friends told us that building could be a challenge and to think twice about it. Not true! Working with Jim was just the opposite. After moving to a smaller home, we decided to finish off the basement. Jim was our first choice. He gave us great advice, saved us money, and did an incredible job. I would whole heartedly recommend Jim Mumper to anyone interested in home building, adding on, or just finishing off extra space. We initially met Jim Mumper and his team when we built our house in 2006. Jim is extremely likeable and easy to work with and the process could not have gone more smoothly. Abby, at Jim’s office, is very efficient and is always available. The attention to detail and the high quality of construction is impressive. In 1989 we signed a contract with Jim to build our home in Green Lane Manor. He said to us, “Have fun with this, there will be problems, but we will work them out”. That was the start of a friendship that has lasted over 30 years. Yes, there were problems, but Jim took care to get things right and the project back on track.
